On 21 November, opened the International Forum for the Protection of tigers, based in St. Petersburg.
The main theme of the meeting is, of course, the preservation of this species has risen from 100,000 units to just 3200.
The tigers are poaching for their fur and because parts of them, such as bone, is believed to have healing powers according to Chinese medicine.

It will also start a program that will allocate 350milioni dollars in 5 years to be used in the protection of habitat while increasing penalties for poachers.
The World Bank will create two funds to the poorest countries: one involving Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and India, the second involving Cambodia and Laos.
